Maya Escobar is the founder and CEO of Casa Blue, a branding, performance marketing and website development studio for organizations and brands with a DNA rooted in social change. Leveraging her background in community-based arts, popular education, brand strategy, and rigorous training as a data-driven marketer, Escobar founded Casa Blue in 2019, with the vision of helping justice-seeking organizations tell their stories and provide them with the resources and tools they need to materialize their goals.
Prior to founding Casa Blue, she was the VP of Marketing at Farmer’s Fridge, Brand Director and Creative Director at Pangea Money Transfer, and Member Engagement and Creative Director at New Futuro.
Maya has an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has taught, performed and exhibited work in Chile, Germany, Guatemala, Spain, Venezuela, and the United States.
Escobar has taught Building Websites for Social Change, since Spring 2022.
