Alternate Ways to Engage With CARA
Watsonville Farmer’s Market Trips
One way we try to foster community engagement is through CARA’s trips to the Watsonville Farmer’s Market. which allow students to get more involved and familiar with communities near UCSC. On these trips, students are able to have fun shopping for local produce and engaging with the vendors.
These outings are more than just market visits; they are deliberate efforts to introduce students to local organizations and initiatives. By participating, students have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Watsonville community and potentially discover avenues for meaningful involvement.
